1-year-old boy in Oregon drowns in washing machine; Mom says he used to help her with laundry
OREM, Utah (AP) ' The parents of a 1-year-old boy in Oregon say he drowned in a washing machine in the few minutes that he left his mother's sight.
Tiffany Hebb says 21-month-old Ollie Hebb used to help her with the laundry by throwing clothes into the top-loading washer. She says Ollie went missing for a few minutes on March 23, and she found him wedged inside the water-filled machine.
A neighbor performed CPR, but the boy died after a day on life support. His organs were donated.
The couple had recently moved from Orem, Utah, to the Portland suburb of Hillsboro. The Deseret News reports (http://bit.ly/HAwgTZ ) Tiffany and Chris Hebb buried Ollie over the weekend in Utah.
Tiffany Hebb says she's warning parents about the drowning dangers of washers.
