Designed by Daniel Libeskind, the architect who has been awarded the design for ground zero and the World Trade Center site, the Museum opened in Berlin in 2001 to great acclaim. The Museum, with its slanted walls and floors evokes dislocation, anxiety and memory. Hosted by Julia Grimpe, a well known theater and TV star who resides in Berlin.
