CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) ' Four family members killed after their vehicle drove into a washed-out section of a mountain highway in Wyoming are from Colorado.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol is not releasing the names of the one adult female and three children but the agency says they are from Colorado Springs.

The family had been camping in Medicine Bow National Forest when they fled torrential rains and drove into a 25-foot washed out section of Wyoming 130 early Tuesday morning.



The patrol says an adult male survived and was taken to a hospital where his condition wasn't immediately available.

A local emergency management official who was responding to the accident also plunged into the creek and was rescued about two hours later. John Zeiger says he's being treated for bumps and bruises.
