Small-plane crash on US highway kills 5, including 2 NYC investment bankers, family members
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (AP) ' Investigators collecting the wreckage of a small plane that crashed on one of the New York City area's busiest highways have suspended their search.
Two New York City investment bankers were among the five dead after the plane went down Tuesday on Interstate 287 in New Jersey. Greenhill & Co. says two managing directors were aboard, one with his wife and their two children.
The National Transportation Safety Board says the search for wreckage was suspended after dark Tuesday and would be resumed after the Wednesday morning commute to minimize traffic problems.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the plane departed Teterboro Airport for DeKalb Peachtree Airport near Atlanta when there was a garbled transmission and it disappeared from radar.
