AP-GfK Poll: Obama faces trouble with key voters
AP-GfK Poll: Women, whites, younger voters and liberals present Obama with challenges in 2012
By The Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) ' President Barack Obama's challenge over the next year will be to boost his standing with four voting groups that helped him win the White House.

Whites, women, younger voters and liberals have turned away from him to certain degrees since his 2008 election.

An analysis of Associated Press-GfK polling shows that he's got work to do with all of those important voting groups.

They're likely to be the top targets of his 2012 campaign as he seeks to cobble together a coalition that's diverse enough to help him win re-election in tough economic times.
