MOBILE, Ala. (AP) ' The University of South Alabama is advising students to stay indoors following reports of an armed person on campus.

The Mobile campus posted a crime alert on its website Sunday evening that said "there have been reports of someone on campus armed with a weapon last seen in the housing area."

The alert went on to advise the university community to "remain inside until further notice." It further advised "all students take shelter and remain inside."
