An Interview with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

By DMO Affiliate
In the final video of our series profiling Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros we get to the good stuff...the big, almighty, higher calling kind of philosophy that propels a band that's being blown sideways through life, never really sure where it's all going. What they do know is that sometimes the world can be a bit of a downer; there is a lot that conspires to kill the dreams we have at a young age...dreams that are inevitably snubbed out by adulthood, professionalism, cynicism, and the like. So Alexander Ebert focuses on transcending such negativity, even death, with his latest work on Here. It's the tortuous stuff that makes such a beautiful song out of the band's current single "Man On Fire". Have a look at our mind boggling conversation with Alex, checking out spits and spats of their performance of "Man On Fire". If you like what you see make sure you check out Part 1 and Part 2 from this series, as well as our full-length concert cut of the band's performance in Philadelphia at WXPN's World Caf Live
