Towing the line between hip hop, pop and EDM, Niles Hollowell-Dhar has made a unique name for his producing prowess over the last few years. If you don't recognize his name, you at least probably know his guise, The Cataracs. The production outfit has provided some serious swag on giant tracks from The Far East Movement and Dev. While tracks like "Bass Down Low" and "Like A G6" gave Niles the opportunity to sit atop a #1 record, the young, native Northern Cal producer is focusing his attention to producing music for his own project. Needless to say, The Cataracs have a lot in store in the very new future. With a little help from our friends at Bud Light Platinum, we'll spend the next several weeks rolling out an exclusive, episodic video series dubbed The Platinum Project. Here, Baeble catches up with Niles as he hunkers down in a gorgeous beachfront home in Malibu recording music for a variety of upcoming Cataracs releases. We also bring Niles a unique challenge of sorts: take everything he's learned over the past few years, dust off a song from his past and give it the remix treatment it always deserved. Channeling everything he's learned over the years through a track called "Young In LA", Niles lets you bear witness to the stunning transformation of a song he had previously shelved. It's a compelling look at one of the best producers in the game. It's The Platinum Project, presented by Bud Light Platinum.
