By DMO Affiliate
Andy Griffith died early this morning...and the internet is mourning him. [cockatiel ]You would not believe how many of these I found on Youtube. [8cockatiels]No one loves the Andy Griffith show more than the cockatiel. But seriously...he was 86 years old...and died of an unspecified illness at his home on Roanoke Island.Andy was known best for his role as straight man sherriff Andy Taylor on the Andy Griffith Show....that and Matlock. He also loved music. That's the degree he graduated with from UNC in 1949. He was a Grammy-winning Southern gospel singer and writer....and this man loved hymns. This is what he recently had to say about growing older:"You know when you're young you think you will always be. As you become more fragile, you reflect and you realize how much comfort can come from the past. Hymns can carry you into the future."hmmmmmmThank you Andy we will miss you. Especially the cockatiels.TV icon Andy Griffith died today in his home at Roanoke Island. He was 86 years old. In remembrance, try searching "Andy Griffith" on Youtube or log into Facebook and note the vast array of cockatiels singing the theme song of the Andy Griffith Show that have been reposted as a tribute.
