Another arrest made in January firebombings of NJ synagogues; news conference scheduled
HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) ' Prosecutors say an additional arrest has been made in the January firebombings of two synagogues in northern New Jersey.
The Bergen County prosecutor's office says no additional details will be provided until a 4 p.m. news conference Friday.
Nineteen-year-old Anthony Graziano, of Lodi, was arrested last month in the firebombings of synagogues in Rutherford and Paramus. He's been charged with nine counts of attempted murder as well as bias intimidation and arson. Prosecutors also later charged him with plotting a third attack on a Jewish community center. He has pleaded not guilty.
Authorities had previously said they believed Graziano acted alone.
In the worst attack, Molotov cocktails were thrown Jan. 11 at Congregation Beth El in Rutherford, igniting a fire in a rabbi's second-floor bedroom.
