16-year-old suspect in teen's fatal stabbing found hanging at Ark. juvenile center, later dies
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) ¯¯¯ Authorities in northeast Arkansas are investigating the death of a 16-year-old boy suspected in another teen's fatal stabbing.
Independence County Sheriff Steve Jeffery says the 16-year-old was found hanging from a bedsheet Friday at a juvenile detention center in Batesville. He was taken to a local hospital and then flown to Little Rock, where he was pronounced dead early Saturday.
His death is being investigated as a suicide.
Jeffery says the teen was a suspect in the stabbing death of 18-year-old Nicholas Zurosky in Paragould, about 150 miles northeast of Little Rock.
Paragould police say Zurosky was a suspect himself in the death of another 18-year-old, Lisa Steele. She was found shot to death at the same Paragould home where Zurosky was found dead. Zurosky lived at the home.
