Ben Curtis returns to scene of 2003 stunner
He's back: Ben Curtis returns to Royal St. George's, site of stunning win in 2003 British Open
By The Associated Press

SANDWICH, England (AP) ' Ben Curtis hopes that returning to the scene of his most famous win will give his struggling game a spark.

Curtis was a little-known player taking part in his first major championship when he won the 2003 British Open at Royal St. George's.

He's put together a solid career since, adding two more PGA Tour wins to his resume and claiming a spot on the U.S. team that won the Ryder Cup in 2008.

This season, Curtis has missed more cuts than he's made. But he certainly has good vibes about this seaside course in southeast England, where he pulled off one of the most surprising major titles in golf history.

If nothing else, Curtis is able to rent a much bigger house than he did eight years ago.
