Blogger talks about book cited in alleged plot
Blogger whose novel inspired 4 alleged members of Ga. militia says he doesn't know men
By The Associated Press

ATLANTA (AP) ' A blogger whose work apparently inspired four Georgia men charged in a militia plot says he doesn't know any of them and isn't to blame for any violent scheme against the government.

Mike Vanderboegh tells The Associated Press on Wednesday that his online posts are all about avoiding violence against the government. He says the four suspects are "morons" if they tried to use his online novel as inspiration for an attack using poison and explosives against government leaders.

Court documents say Vanderboegh's online book "Absolved" served as a blueprint for alleged attacks on federal officials and buildings. Vanderboegh says it appears that at least one of the men charged had visited his website and left comments, but he's never had any personal contact with the men.

Associated Press writer Jay Reeves contributed to this report from Alabaster.
