British Prime Minister Cameron visits with Newark, NJ mayor ahead of trip to WTC site
By The Associated Press

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) ' British Prime Minister David Cameron is in Newark, N.J., meeting with its mayor, before finishing his trip to the United States with a visit to New York City and the 9/11 memorial.

Cameron arrived at City Hall in Newark on Thursday morning and was briefly greeted by Mayor Cory Booker on the front steps before they headed inside to talk.

The mayor plans to brief the prime minister on programs in the impoverished city that could be replicated in Great Britain. They also plan a short walk-around in the city about 10 miles from New York.

Cameron spoke briefly with the mayor about Booker's time in England as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford, where he received a degree in modern history in 1994.
