British wrestler Dykun fails doping test
British wrestler Myroslav Dykun tests positive for amphetamines, could miss Olympics
By The Associated Press

LONDON (AP) ' One of Britain's top wrestlers has been suspended after testing positive for doping.

Myroslav Dykun tested positive for amphetamines and is awaiting the result of a "B'' sample.

British Wrestling chief executive Colin Nicholson said on Thursday that Dykun "is immediately suspended from competition and funding."

Dykun won gold in the 145-pound Greco-Roman category at the Commonwealth Games in 2010. He will miss the London Olympics if his "B'' sample is positive.

He was born in Ukraine but moved to Britain in 2003 as part of the country's initiative to get athletes from Eastern Europe to help homegrown wrestlers develop into medal prospects.
