Utah hospital says 3 children and their father released after surviving plunge in icy river
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) ' Three Utah children trapped in an upturned car after it skidded into a river have been released from a Salt Lake City hospital.
Primary Children's Medical Center says the children went home with their father early Monday.
Hospital spokeswoman Bonnie Midget says the children recovered from hypothermia.
The 46-year-old father, Roger Andersen, lost control of the car Saturday afternoon on a narrow stretch of road in Logan Canyon.
Midget says it was an amazing story of rescue with at least nine people helping Andersen right the car in the river.
A former police officer shot out a window to rescue the children.
Midget says the family is reluctant to speak about the ordeal and wasn't answering phone calls Monday.
