Classes to resume at elementary school in Walpole, NH, after student shot himself in face
WALPOLE, N.H. (AP) ' Classes are resuming at a New Hampshire elementary school after a 14-year-old boy shot himself in the face in a crowded cafeteria on Friday.
Walpole Elementary School was under lockdown for several hours after the student, believed to have been upset about a relationship with a girl, shot himself and was hospitalized in serious condition.
A message on the school district's website says school is being held Monday and that crisis response counselors will be available for students and staff.
The message says the district staff's thoughts and prayers are with the family of the boy, students and their families.
