Court says no TV cameras at health care arguments
Supreme Court rejects televised coverage of health care arguments, will provide same-day audio
By The Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) ' The Supreme Court has rejected requests from news organizations for live, televised coverage of this month's historic arguments on President Barack Obama's health care overhaul, but has agreed to release audio recordings of the proceedings on the same day.

The court issued a brief statement Friday saying there will be quick release of the audio on each of the three days of arguments because of "extraordinary public interest" in the health care case.

The statement said nothing about live coverage, but many news organizations, including The Associated Press, had asked the court to allow cameras into the courtroom for the first time to cover the proceedings.
