Wrong-way crash kills 3 Ohio sorority sisters heading to airport for spring break trip
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) ' Bowling Green State University started spring break Saturday mourning the deaths of three sorority sisters killed when the car they were driving was slammed into by a wrong-way driver on an Ohio interstate.
Troopers dropped off luggage retrieved from the highway Friday and flowers were left outside the Alpha Xi Delta house as students held each other.
The crash also killed the wrong-way driver. Two surviving sorority sisters were in critical condition Friday night at a Toledo hospital.
Ohio state troopers say the wrong-way vehicle was being pursued by police when it missed one car full of sorority sisters then collided with another on Interstate 75.
The women were just miles from the university as they headed to the Detroit airport for a trip to the Dominican Republic.
