Kidnap, stolen car, robbery charges filed in Nevada against Utah duo accused of crime spree
LAS VEGAS (AP) ' Prosecutors have filed criminal charges against a man and woman accused in a crime spree that started in central Utah and ended in the cold desert of Nevada.
A court official and their lawyers say a Nevada judge is due Friday to set a date for an evidence hearing for 24-year-old Logan Welles McFarland and 25-year-old Angela Marie Hill. The kidnapping, stolen vehicle and armed robbery charges were filed against them Wednesday in Elko Justice Court.
Hill also uses the name Angela Atwood. She was also charged with attempted murder in the shooting of a 35-year-old woman in a botched carjacking in West Wendover.
Hill and McFarland were arrested Tuesday, after being sought as fugitive suspects in the slaying of a couple in Mount Pleasant, Utah.
