Daughter says wrong-way driver had health problems
Wrong-way driver in deadly Ohio crash had health problems, daughter says
By The Associated Press

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) ' The daughter of the wrong-way driver in a deadly crash on Interstate 75 in Ohio says her mother had medical issues and was not a drinker.

The crash on March 1 killed 69-year-old Winifred Lein and three Bowling Green State University sorority sisters headed on a spring break trip.

In a witness statement released Friday by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Charmaine Lein did not offer details on her mother's health problems.

But a witness to the crash says the wrong-way driver was going at least 75 mph and never swerved to miss cars.

The witness says she was not driving erratically and several trucks flashed their lights at her.
