Day 4 of testimony at Jennifer Hudson family murders trial
CHICAGO (AP) ' Prosecutors at the Chicago trial of the man accused of killing Jennifer Hudson's family head into their fourth day presenting evidence with no indication they're close to wrapping up their case.
They didn't announce who they'll call to the witness stand Thursday as they continue their bid to prove Hudson's former brother-in-law, William Balfour, killed her mother, brother and nephew in 2008.
The presiding judge has said the trial could last up to a month. And prosecutors' case could last two or three more weeks.
Among the witnesses still expected to testify for prosecutors is one of Balfour's former girlfriends, Shonta Cathey. Prosecutors say he asked her to back up his false alibi on the day of the killings.
