Dayton: Will concede to GOP to end Minn. shutdown
Gov. Dayton offers to take GOP budget offer, with conditions, to end Minnesota shutdown
By The Associated Press

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ' Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton is offering to accept a Republican proposal to bring more money into Minnesota's budget to end a two-week-old government shutdown.

Dayton said Thursday that he will take an offer Republicans made just before the shutdown started, if Republicans agree to drop a list of policy changes and a plan to reduce the state workforce by 15 percent.

He also wants lawmakers to approve a construction projects bill totaling at least $500 million.

GOP leaders did not immediately respond to emails seeking comment.
