Deal reached to show video of Komisarjevsky child
Judge in Conn. home invasion case restricts who can see video of defendant's child testifying
By The Associated Press

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) ' A Connecticut judge has restricted who can see videotaped testimony by the 9-year-old daughter of a man convicted of killing three people in a 2007 home invasion.

Judge Jon Blue's ruling Thursday came during the penalty phase of Joshua Komisarjevsky's (koh-mih-sar-JEV'-skee) trial.

Lawyers for the girl say she has received death threats. The lawyers had sought to close the courtroom during the showing of the video, but media organizations objected.

Blue says the video will be played in open court so that only the jury can see it, although the audience could listen. Credentialed members of the media would later be allowed to watch it at some point when court is not in session.

The jury is hearing testimony before deciding if Komisarjevsky should be sentenced to death.
