Obama campaign team hits Romney on image, policy, ideology _ and waits to see what works best
WASHINGTON (AP) ' President Barack Obama's campaign is trying an "all of the above" strategy against Mitt Romney.
It is criticizing the Republican's character, wealth and policy positions in attacks that may become more focused as the fall election nears.
Some Democrats want to emphasize Romney's flip-flops on various issues. But others say it's better to depict Romney as a hard-line conservative bent on radical changes unpalatable to mainstream America.
Romney's aides call it the flailings of a president with a poor record to defend.
Both campaigns are airing character-focused ads. One ad depicts Romney's highly praised role in helping find a lost teenage girl.
The Democrats' ad cites Romney's wealth and notes that he once had a Swiss bank account.
