Don't forget: Memory competition being held in NYC
Don't forget: Contestants around country testing their memory power at NYC competition
By The Associated Press

PHILADELPHIA (AP) ' Think you have a good memory? Could you remember the order of 52 cards in a fully shuffled deck?

That's just one of the skills that will be tested Saturday at the USA Memory Championship in New York.

Contests include memorizing an unpublished poem, recalling biographical information of random people, remembering rows of random numbers, and matching about 100 names with faces.

Four teams from Pennsylvania and one from New Jersey are among the competitors who will test their brain power. About two dozen people from around the country will compete individually.

Event founder Tony Dottino says he established the competition 15 years ago as a way to promote the capabilities of the human brain.
