Man says his son and 4 others were killed in W.Va.; police say suspect kills self in Kentucky.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) ' A West Virginia man says his son and four other people were killed in a multiple slaying that state police have so far said little about.
State police earlier said they had discovered "multiple murders" in northern West Virginia's Monongalia County on Monday and that the suspect shot himself to death while he was being pursued by officers in Kentucky.
Charles Richardson Jr. tells The Associated Press that police told him the victims were his son, 51-year-old Charles Richardson III, and four other people. He said the bodies were found at the son's residence.
State police declined to confirm any details before a news conference set for 2 p.m. EDT.
Lewis County, Kentucky, Sheriff Johnny Bivens identified the man who shot himself as 22-year-old Shayne Riggleman.
