Federal agencies in DC to open after Irene; workers have option of unscheduled leave, telework
WASHINGTON (AP) ' Federal agencies in Washington will be open on Monday despite Hurricane Irene knocking out power to thousands of homes and businesses in the metro area and darkening about 150 stoplights.
Employees have the option to take an unscheduled leave day or telework.
Employees are urged to check the status of their workplace, because some buildings might still be without power.
