Fla. boy struck by SUV, killed at softball game
Police: 22-month-old Fla. boy killed by SUV in high school parking lot during softball game

TITUSVILLE, Fla. (AP) ' Police say a 22-month-old boy has died after being run over by an SUV in the parking lot of a Florida high school during a softball game.

Titusville Police Maj. Todd Hutchinson says in a news release that the driver was backing up from a parking spot at Titusville High School and said she didn't see the child. The driver wasn't cited, and police said there was no indication that alcohol was involved. Her SUV was confiscated for the investigation.

The boy was identified as Brady Hutto of Auburndale, Fla. Police say a witness tried to perform CPR on the boy, who was taken by ambulance to a Titusville hospital. He was pronounced dead soon after arrival.



The boy's mother was nearby, outside her vehicle when the incident happened.
