Former Bronco won't testify at sex assault trial
Former Denver Broncos player tells judge he won't testify at his sexual assault trial
By The Associated Press

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (AP) ' Former Denver Broncos cornerback Perrish Cox will not testify at his sexual assault trial in Colorado.

Shortly after the prosecution finished presenting its case Thursday morning, Cox informed the judge that he wouldn't take the stand. The defense rested its case shortly afterward and closing arguments are expected later Thursday.

Cox is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in his apartment over Labor Day weekend 2010. The woman testified Wednesday, saying she had a fuzzy memory of what happened that night and suspected she had been drugged after waking up feeling sick the next day.

Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas also testified Wednesday, describing how Cox carried the sleeping woman into his bedroom.

Earlier Thursday, prosecutors placed two detectives on the stand and played a video of a detectives' interview with Cox.
