Former OJ Simpson trial lawyer in Vegas alleges Florida-based co-counsel stiffed him on fees
LAS VEGAS (AP) ' A Las Vegas lawyer who represented O.J. Simpson in his Nevada armed robbery and kidnapping trial is suing Simpson's Florida-based lead attorney, alleging that he wasn't paid promised fees.
Gabriel Grasso alleges in the civil breach-of-contract lawsuit filed in Clark County District Court that he was promised $250,000 to be the local attorney on the Simpson trial, but Yale Galanter only paid him $15,000.
Galanter tells The Associated Press he hasn't seen the lawsuit, but intends to prove Grasso is wrong.
The Las Vegas Sun first reported the lawsuit (http://bit.ly/H6vZ6T ).
Simpson is serving nine to 33 years in state prison following his conviction in 2008 of leading a group of men in an armed confrontation with two sports memorabilia dealers in a room at a Las Vegas casino hotel.
