Greenstein, Johnson voted into Poker Hall of Fame, to be inducted at main event in Vegas
LAS VEGAS (AP) ' Card professionals Barry Greenstein and Linda Johnson have been voted into the Poker Hall of Fame, joining the likes of card legends Doyle Brunson, David "Chip" Reese and Stu Ungar among poker's most influential figures.
World Series of Poker officials said Thursday that Greenstein and Johnson were voted in by a majority of a 35-member panel of current hall members and poker media.
The pair beat out eight other finalists nominated for the 2011 class, including Annie Duke, Scotty Nguyen and Huck Seed.
Greenstein has three World Series of Poker bracelets, two World Poker Tour titles and more than $7.5 million in tournament winnings.
Johnson won a series bracelet in 1997 and is highly influential among players. She helped establish the World Poker Tour and owned Card Player magazine.
