Judge to hear arguments on which statements should be admissible in NY husband-killing case
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) ' A judge in New York wants to hear arguments about what evidence should be allowed at the trial of a Florida woman accused of directing the killings of her husband and mother-in-law.
Prosecutors want the judge's permission to tell jurors about three days of police questioning of Narcy Novack. The questioning came after her husband, Ben Novack Jr., was found dead in his New York hotel room in 2009.
She denied having anything to do with his killing.
Prosecutors also want jurors to hear strange complaints Narcy Novack made in 2002. She said her husband arranged breast implants for her without her knowledge and kept nude photos of female amputees.
Defense lawyers want to suppress the statements. A hearing is scheduled for Friday morning.
