Indiana man charged with murdering 3rd woman, whose body was found buried in yard
NEW ALBANY, Ind. (AP) ' Prosecutors have charged a southern Indiana man accused in two killings with a third count of murder in the death of a woman whose body was found buried in his backyard.
William Clyde Gibson was charged Wednesday in the death of 35-year-old Stephanie Kirk. The Charlestown, Ind., woman vanished in March and her body was found buried behind Gibson's New Albany home April 27. A preliminary autopsy showed she was strangled.
The 54-year-old convicted sex offender was charged last month with murdering a 75-year-old woman who was found strangled in his home and a 44-year-old Florida woman who was killed during a 2002 visit to the area.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. New Albany is just north of Louisville, Ky.
