Louisville Police seek public help in 6 shootings
Louisville police chief appeals to public for help in chaotic shootings that killed 3
By The Associated Press

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) ' Louisville's police chief is asking for the public's help in solving a chaotic shootout that resulted in three deaths.

Chief Steve Conrad said Friday that it was a quiet night in the Russell neighborhood of western Louisville, where extra police were on patrol.

On Thursday afternoon, police, media and neighborhood onlookers were on the scene of a home where two of the victims were found dead.

Then gunfire broke out about four houses down, killing a woman and sending people scattering for cover. Three others were hospitalized.

Conrad says police still have unanswered questions and it is premature to discuss possible charges. They are seeking more witnesses who may have seen the first shootings and the altercation that led to the second round of gunfire.
