By The Associated Press

ALTADENA, Calif. (AP) ' Los Angeles County authorities say a man has died after he and a woman fell from a cliff while hiking in the Angeles National Forest.

John Jutiyasantayanon's (joo-tee-YAH-san-tay-YEH-nons) death on Saturday morning is the second fatality in the Eaton Canyon Park area this week.

The coroner's office says the 23-year-old man was from Montclair. An autopsy is planned.

Sheriff' Sgt. Gary Ogurek says the female companion tried to help him but got stuck. She suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.

Authorities say another hiker died after falling Sunday from a trail near one of the park's waterfalls. Also this week, a 31-year-old man broke his legs when he fell off a cliff in the same area.

The park gets an influx of visitors this time of year.
