Mercury: 500MB to go

By TechUniverse
It wasn't so long ago that we were happy to have our 250GB external drives to carry around with us.  Now, the Mercury gives you 500GB - - yep HALF O' TB at 7200RPM.  The drive models start at under $200.   I haven't seen how this thing heats up if you use it with something like Apple's Final Cut Pro - - but FW800 support and Bus power support make it great to stick into the bag with the MacBook Pro. The Mercury On-The-Go Pro 500GB 7200RPM line features three models, including a ?Triple Interface model for FireWire 800/400 and USB 2.0; a ?Combo Interface model for FireWire 400 and USB 2.0; and a USB 2.0 model priced starting at $189.99.
