Missing Albuquerque woman in NM sex torture search
Authorities believe missing Albuquerque woman among victims of man convicted of sexual torture
By The Associated Press

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) ' Authorities say an Albuquerque woman missing for 16 years could be among the victims of a man convicted of sexually torturing women but boasted of as many as 40 people.

FBI agents, New Mexico State Police and Albuquerque police plan to search Elephant Butte Lake on Tuesday. David Parker Ray made the boasts in his writings, but no bodies have ever been located.

He died in 2002 while serving life in prison for sexual torture.

Albuquerque police believe Jill Troia could be one of the victims Ray boasted about. She was last seen at a restaurant with Ray's daughter in 1995.

Ray was from the Elephant Butte area. Authorities believe that's where he may have buried some victims.
