NBA negotiations break, with 'very huge day' ahead
NBA negotiators talk in small groups, with 'very huge day' ahead Tuesday
By The Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) ' NBA owners and players have finished meeting in small groups and will return Tuesday for what union president Derek Fisher says will likely be a "a very huge day" in the labor lockout.

Full bargaining committees will take part and Deputy Commissioner Adam Silver says "each side understands what's at stake."

The sides are close to the point when regular-season games would have to be canceled without a new labor agreement. Silver and Commissioner David Stern wouldn't characterize the progress Monday, saying it was about "setting the table" for Tuesday.
