NJ man arrested, charged after daughter's skeleton found in crawl space of his former home
FREEHOLD, N.J. (AP) ' Authorities have arrested a New Jersey man after discovering the skeleton of his daughter in the crawl space of his former home.
Fifty-seven-year-old Dennis Adler is being held on $100,000 bail. He made an initial appearance in state Superior Court in Freehold on Thursday afternoon and didn't enter a plea.
Police were called to Adler's former home in Keansburg on Tuesday after a cleaning service discovered human remains. Dental records confirmed the remains were those of Kimberly Adler. The cause of her death hasn't been determined.
Prosecutors say the daughter was likely 23 when she died. She was never reported missing.
Prosecutors allege Adler concealed the remains within their home in 2008 and then hid them beneath a crawl space.
He is charged with second-degree disturbing of human remains.
