Obama extends condolences to Norway over bombing
Obama says Norway bombing is reminder that world has role to play in stopping such terror
By The Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) ' President Barack Obama says a bombing that killed at least seven people in Oslo, Norway, is a reminder that the world has a role in stopping such terror from happening. He also expressed his condolences to Norway's people.

Oslo is known for the Nobel Peace Prize that's awarded there and Obama was the recipient in 2009.

Norwegian authorities say the blast ripped open buildings, including the prime minister's office, and was the worst attack there since World War II. At least seven people were killed and more than a dozen were injured. The prime minister was not in his office at the time.

A man dressed as a police officer later opened fire at a nearby youth camp. A suspect was in custody and there were no reports of fatalities.
