Obama makes case against striking Iran now
Obama says force an option against Iran, but will try to talk Israel out of striking now
By The Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) ' President Barack Obama says he doesn't want another war but bluntly insists he will attack Iran if that's the final option to stop that nation from getting a nuclear weapon.

Obama is expected Monday to try to sway Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (neh-ten-YAH'-hoo) against attacking Iran over its disputed nuclear development sites. The United States sees such a strike as dangerously premature, and Obama said Sunday that "loose talk of war" only plays into Iran's hands.

The president and Netanyahu will meet in private at the White House. Obama is expected to tell Netanyahu that while the U.S. is committed to Israel's security, it does not want to be dragged into a war.
