Nearly 2 years after last visit, Obama to face NH voters who helped elect, but now sour on him
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) ' President Obama will experience a changed New Hampshire this week.
He's set to promote his jobs plan with Manchester voters on Tuesday.
Nearly two years have passed since Obama's last visit and New Hampshire voters since have soured on the president they helped elect.
Democrats are not panicking.
They say negative polls are tied to constant attacks from Republicans who have flocked to the state for months to compete for the Jan. 10 presidential primary.
Obama's campaign says it is confident things will turn around the more New Hampshire voters see the president.
In a likely nod to independents, Obama is expected Tuesday to encourage Congress to extend a temporary cut in payroll taxes that has enjoyed bipartisan support.
