Obama is attending the 112th Army-Navy football game at the Washington Redskins' stadium in Maryland and join the CBS announcers in the broadcasting booth during the first quarter.

He says members of the military academies represent "the best that we have to offer."

He says sports are important, but "these guys are going to be in life or death situations voluntarily protecting our country. They're going to be on the same team and it constantly makes you grateful for being here in America."
