Obama says on West Coast fundraising trip that voters wonder if he can turn around economy
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) ' President Barack Obama is conceding that people around the country are wondering if he can keep his promise to build an economy designed for the long-term. But he is blasting opponents as having nothing more than finger-pointing as a platform.
Obama is launching a two-day campaign fundraising trip to California, holding events in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
The president spoke Wednesday at a San Francisco fundraiser, saying he's pushing a number of bills in Congress to help the economy but getting no help from Republicans.
He says "the other side" doesn't have any new ideas and that their message will be that "this is someone else's fault."
