Officials: Euro finance ministers unlikely to meet Wednesday, not ready to decide on Greece
BRUSSELS (AP) ' Two European officials say eurozone finance ministers will most likely not meet Wednesday, as they are not ready to take decisions on the bailout for Greece.
One official said Tuesday "there is a very strong indication that it (the meeting) will not take place."
A second official said experts from national finance ministries who were meeting Tuesday concluded they didn't have all the necessary information to take decisions Wednesday.
He said the ministers will likely instead talk in a teleconference, with the aim to taking decisions at their next scheduled meeting Monday.
Both officials were speaking on condition of anonymity because the talks are confidential.
Even before a final decision on the bailout, Greece needs approval for a separate debt relief deal with private creditors.
