P&G Salon How-tos: Patriotic Hairstyles

By P&G for The Style Glossy

Patriotic hairstyles are another great way to support your team. Here are four great looks that will show your true colors!

The first patriotic hairstyle is one that is most popular with the Gymnasts, keeping their hair back off their faces while displaying their team colors. It’s also very easy recreate.

Step One
Starting with a high ponytail, take a doughnut covered in your country colors and pin it around the ponytail.

Step Two
Pin sections of your own hair around the doughnut.

Step Three
Pull bits of the colors through and finish off with Pantene's Pro-V Volume and Body Hairspray for a textured hold that will last all day or night.

Another great patriotic look is a twist on the classic ponytail and was a slam dunk with the Basketball girls.

Step One
Apply Pantene Pro-V Volume and Body Mousse into the mid-lengths and ends creates a great texture.

Step Two
Pull hair into a ponytail, leaving the ends tucked in.

Step Three
Spread the hair out and finish off with your patriotic colored hair band.

Plaits were also in high demand and a particular favorite is the double plait wrap with this patriotic twist.

Step One
Split you hair into two and plait each side.

Step Two
Wrap the plaits round your head and pin in place.

Step Three
Add a few feathers to complete the look.

Finally, the Equestrian girls who came to the P&G Salon favored the classic French plait. Using Pantene's 24hr Frizz Fighter will keep your plait nourished all day and night, adding length with scarfs is a great way to turn this look from dressage to dress up!
