Peyton Manning says lockout limiting his rehab
Peyton Manning says lockout has likely slowed his comeback from offseason neck surgery
By The Associated Press

THIBODAUX, La. (AP) ' Peyton Manning says NFL owners should have given more consideration to rehabilitating players before imposing the lockout, which he says has likely slowed his comeback from offseason neck surgery.

Manning says he has taken a "very cautious" and "very slow" approach to his rehab because the lockout has prevented him from working with Indianapolis Colts trainers who know him best.

Manning won't get specific about what his current limitations are or even the extent to which he can throw. Manning says he's still working hard on his own and continuing rehab sessions even during this weekend's Manning Passing Academy in Louisiana.

Peyton and his younger brother, Giants quarterback Eli Manning, have had a busy offseason despite the lockout. Both have become fathers since late March.
