Police: Roommates argued over iPod before stabbing
Police say roommates at Md. university argued over an iPod before 1 stabbed the other to death
By The Associated Press

BOWIE, Md. (AP) ' Police say a 19-year-old student at a Maryland university fatally stabbed her roommate after the two argued over an iPod.

Charging documents say Alexis Simpson turned off an iPod belonging to her roommate, Dominique Frazier, as the women and other students were preparing for a comedy show at Bowie State University on Thursday night. The iPod had been playing music in the women's shared bathroom.

Police say the two women began fighting in the hallway, and that Simpson produced what witnesses said was a knife. Police say Simpson stabbed Frazier in the throat.

Other students said the roommates had been arguing throughout the last week.

Simpson has been charged with murder and was being held pending a bond review on Monday. Her attorney did not return a call seeking comment.
