Poll: Obama's health overhaul still unpopular, but fewer expect their own care to worsen
WASHINGTON (AP) ' A new poll finds Americans are still cool to President Barack Obama's health care overhaul law.
But as the Supreme Court prepares to hear arguments on the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act, the AP-GfK poll shows that people are less concerned that their own personal medical care will suffer as a result of the law.
The health care debate may be getting less edgy, and that could turn into a good thing for the president's re-election prospects.
Shortly after the law passed in 2010, nearly half '47 percent ' said they expected the quality of their care to worsen. Now only about a third, or 32 percent, say that's their worry.
Overall, the poll found 35 percent of Americans support the health care overhaul while 47 percent oppose it.
